In total, more than 250 sculptures can be seen in the park, most of them taking familiar forms such as animals or humans. This art consisting in reshaping plant structures is called topiary art, hence the name of the garden, and has been practiced since the first century of our era! A real open-air exhibition!

The Japanese garden of Hasselt was born from a collaboration between the Belgian city and the city of Itami in Japan symbolizing their friendship. There is also a ceremony house and a tea house which makes this garden even more authentic. If you want to see the cherry blossoms, go to the garden as soon as it opens in early spring!

Floralia - The Brussels Capital Region
Let's continue our stroll in the surroundings of Brussels with the park of the castle of Grand-Bigard which opens its doors from April 1st to May 4th to discover the exhibition Floralia Brussels. Royal greenhouses of Laeken - The Brussels Capital Region
This century-old tradition is back for our greatest pleasure. From April 14, the Royal Greenhouses are open to the general public for a period of three weeks! Come and visit the private gardens of the King of Belgium. A little anecdote, the collection still contains some plants belonging to the original plantations of King Leopold II, second king of the Belgians, as well as rare plants of great value. A must-see of the Belgian heritage that gives you the opportunity to feel like a royal for a day!

La Hulpe Castle - Solvay Regional Estate
Also known as the park of the castle of La Hulpe, the site of the Solvay domain has been classified as a major heritage of Wallonia since 1993. This place, considered as one of the most beautiful walks in Belgium, has more than 450 species of wild plants as well as hundred-year-old trees. On foot or by bike, enjoy this exceptional park all year round with free access. The perfect place to spend a day in the green with its many facilities, its pond and its picnic areas!
Every day, from 8am to 9pm from 01/04 to 30/09 (summer schedule) and from 8am to 6pm from 01/10 to 31/03 (winter schedule).
Rose garden Coloma - Province of Flemish Brabant
Fifth stop: the Coloma rose garden located in Leeuw-Saint-Pierre in the outskirts of Brussels. More than 3000 varieties of roses from all over the world. A stroll that will take you on a journey over nearly 15 hectares. The garden has been laid out in four phases: the red and white garden, the Flemish garden, the former rose garden and finally the international garden. On the other side of the park you will find an orchard with old varieties of fruit trees. Come and enjoy this show from May to October!

Botanical Garden of Meise - Province of Flemish Brabant
Welcome to one of the largest botanical gardens in the world, the botanical garden of Meise. For more than 200 years now, this garden has been a place of recollection for all nature lovers. The park has the particularity of offering various activities and walks all year round, something to delight both young and old. On the program are walks with or without a guide, a GPS game or a "surprise your feet" trail for the more adventurous! From April 1 to 16, the garden organizes a big egg hunt for children from 4 to 12 years old!

The gardens of Freรฟr-sur-Meuse - Province of Namur
In the province of Namur, discover the French gardens of Freyr-sur-Meuse. This garden dating from the 18th century is located on the domain of Freyr which also shelters a castle of the renaissance. The park is classified as an exceptional heritage of Wallonia and aims to be a place of sharing and resourcing. Walk through the garden from April 1st and stroll between the bower, the orange trees and the fountains, not forgetting to take a look at the river Meuse passing by.

The gardens of Bilzen - Province of Limburg
The English park, the French garden and the orchards of the Chรขteau d'Alden Biesen are breathtaking, especially during the apple blossom period in April. For those who wish to add a little fun to this experience, golf carts are available at the tourist office to offer you a tour of the orchards at full speed! Watch out for passers-by though. A magnificent walk in the Limburg countryside, within an area full of history and for a moment out of time. A must do for anyone passing through the area!
