Go off the beaten track and visit Maredsous Abbey and its pretty, little Christmas village. There is an area dedicated to Alsace with a musical atmosphere and Alsatian specialities such as sauerkraut, pretzels and blueberry pie.
You can also visit the abbey and the small museum of the cheese factory. The only thing you will want to do is rush out and grab a delicious tartiflette or raclette sandwich on your way out.
